Colorado Mesa University welcomes tenor Eapen Leubner and Art Song Colorado for a performance of Schubert's beloved song cycle, Die schöne Müllerin. This Grand Junction stop on Art Song Colorado’s tour features CMU faculty guitarist Javier de los Santos bringing fresh instrumental color to one of the great works of the German Lied repertoire.

This season, Colorado Mesa University presents two performances exploring Franz Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin from different angles — first as a voice a guitar setting, then reimagined as English-language opera.

One classic song cycle, two transformations. Colorado Mesa University and Art Song Colorado present a season-long exploration of Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin — from a voice and guitar setting to a brand-new operatic retelling, presented on April 9 and 10.

Same story, two ways. Join CMU and Art Song Colorado as Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin journeys from classic song cycle to new opera this season.
